About Eye-Smart

On the 1st day eye knew nothing about art.

On the 2nd day eye remembered eye used to like art, but didn't know much about art now.

On the 3rd day eye found out about art and decided it disliked what the artworld had become.

On the 4th day eye decided young people should know about art instead of porn, corporate logos, MTV music and hitting each other. But they didn't listen.

On the 5th day eye was repeatedly asked if eye had any prints/art for sale, so set-up a shop.

On the 6th day eye was asked to manage a famous outsider art gallery, but found it was all smoke and mirrors and yet another cleverly marketed cash machine. Punters were doubly duped. This was not pure art after all...Eye despairs.

On the 7th day eye decided to only work with people whose art comes from their soul rather than work with those that contrive and manipulate solely to make money... Eye despairs.

On the 8th day eye realised that people are lazy and want to be told what art is, rather than form their own opinion. So only the loudest, sneakiest and buddy's of other artists/critics/curators/monied/celebrities get recognised as being artists... Eye despairs.

On the 9th day eye decided to start from scratch. Eye remembered that there are many forms of art (like music, literature, painting, performance, film etc), and they should all be equal. So a situation was provided for this to happen and to help remind other people.

On the 10th day eye decided to open the sticky doors of fine art printing to all that wish to partake.

Today is the 10th day, this is a 10 Storey/Duck-Art/situation modern initiative. If you support us you'll be supporting yourself...but do eye really need to tell you that ?
